To create this piece each layer was removed to reveal the color underneath, with 5 different colors and 4 different runs through the printing press, due to a blend roll that merged 2 colors into one run through the press. The imagery is communicating the feeling of waiting for someone, of a resigned commitment. The dawn is rising on a figure waiting at a window, chair pulled up with books placed to the side to highlight a long time spent waiting. The melancholy and warm toned color palette accentuates this feeling as light pours into the room through the window and illuminates the figure.
